I glanced up at the three for the hundredth time, once again, ignoring the work I was supposed to be doing. Westley just looked so adorable sitting there with a paintbrush in his hand. I knew for a fact that if the other two kids hadn't been there, he would have slipped into his little role. I still hadn't had the pleasure of meeting Little Wes again after that night I’d tucked him in because I'd been so busy with preparations for the party. But I was determined to spend a whole day with him once the party was over.

I shook my head and forced myself to get back to work. I still needed to finalize the catering order and get all the decorations arranged. I wanted this party to be good for all the kids. It may not have been a big project originally, but now that my boy would be participating too, I needed to make sure it was the best party he had ever been to.

I also needed to look for a house in this town. There was no doubt in my mind now that I would be moving here, and I wanted to get a house as soon as possible so I could move Westley in with me. But before that, I had to tell him about the supes world and I was worried how that would go. The only other humans I knew of who were aware of the supes were three of Noel's friends. He'd told me that one of his friends, a mage named Raphael, had a human mate, Jai. Jai and his brother were both aware of the supernatural world. William, one of Camille’s dads had also been human when he found out about the supes. They’d all seemingly taken the revelation well, but I wasn't sure if it would be the same for Westley. What if he freaked out? What if he didn't want anything to do with me once he knew the truth? I had no clue how he would react and I was scared shitless of telling him. But I knew I would have to because I could feel it. Westley was special. And even if he wasn't my mate, I still wanted him for as long as he would have me.

Once the kids had left, Westley hung around for a little bit before he was called away by Caleb. Now that they were finally gone, I was able to focus on my work. I ended up finishing it within a few minutes. Had I really been procrastinating for hours what I could've done in minutes? I shook my head, knowing it was all because of Westley. That boy had me wrapped around his finger and I couldn't seem to bring myself to focus on anything when he was around.

"Hey, Birch. Got a minute?" Noel's voice called from the doorway and I looked up to find him standing there, glancing around at all the colorful stuff that was still littered around the room.
